Before you go
- Nilgiris e-pass for the car: done. Keep a screenshot handy.
- Download offline Google Maps for Kannur–Gudalur, Ooty–Bandipur, Mysuru and Virajpet–Iritty.
- Leave Ooty by 6:30 pm on Saturday: the Mudumalai–Bandipur gates close at 9 pm.
- Mysore Palace lights: Sundays about 7:00 – 7:45 pm. Confirm on the day.
